Downloading large files drops internet

It lasts about 30 seconds before the router regains internet connectivity and devices get their connection back - it will then start downloading again for another 20 or 30 seconds before dropping out again. This only happens with files that take longer than 30 seconds to download, if the connection remains constant for about 30 seconds then this issues starts to happen - very frustrating!

I have had this issue with sky and still having this issue but not located to bt or this contrey as i know people in the usa that have same issue.

I tried having a look at the diagnostics page on the router to see if I could find any SNR information for line attentuation that may point to an unstable line - unfortnatly it looks like the logs no longer record SNR information but did find the stream of logs of Disconnect and Reconnect, this is 1 segment, after the top PPP IPCP line the whole stream repeats itself for the duration it took me to download the file I was downloading.

I cant seem to find a downgraded version of the Firmware to test this theory. Any other way to see how stable my connection is when downloading large files? Wow Flashget is still alive? This is especially annoying when I am simply trying to download a game off of Steam. Grand Theft Auto V literally takes me days to download because of this irritating interruption. This problem has persisted for many months.

I have updated all of my network drivers, configured all of my IPv4 settings for transmit and receive, checked through all of my router settings, tried several different routers with no change in the behavior, and connected directly to my modem. Internet Sharing options have been disabled by me. I am the only computer on this network, and the only computer attached to this router. I have Google'd this problem off and on over the past few months with no leads and no successful tweaks.

It is only happening to my CPU, I have my mobile phone connected to the same 5ghz channel and when it drops on the CPU I can still use it normally on mobile. It is also not effecting the 2. I have the BrosTrend mbps long range wireless adapter. Using the speedtest website, I can get around mbps download and Typically when downloading from steam, or other video game clients I'm getting around mbps which is a vast improvement to what I was getting prior to using the Nighthawk router.

The fact that only my cpu is disconnecting during the download and it isn't messing with the connection to other devices it makes me feel like it is the fault of my wireless adapter but I have the current driver for it, at least I believe I do, and I'm just not sure what else to do. I don't have an easy way to have a wired connction to the router.
